Career

Shai’s practice focuses on complex financing transactions, insolvency law, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings, including public offerings of equity and debt securities.

Shai represents investment funds, banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, as well as other lenders in Israel and abroad in high-value and complex financing and credit facilities, including acquisitions, financings, restructurings, loan syndications, debt arrangements, securitizations, and the purchase and sale of large credit portfolios. Shai also represents companies, borrowers, and bondholders in various insolvency proceedings.

Additionally, Shai has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions as well as in representation of leading private and public companies and financial institutions in large-scale company acquisitions, sales, spin-offs, mergers, investments transactions and other commercial transactions involving a broad scope of issues.

Shai also represents private companies in their initial public offerings (IPOs) in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and in foreign stock exchanges, as well issuers and underwriters of public offerings of equity and debt securities.

Shai has in-depth knowledge and expertise in other aspects of corporate and securities law and advises senior management of public and private companies, including hi-tech companies, financing companies, biotech companies, and infrastructure companies, in strategic decision-making and provides counsel on corporate governance, shareholder matters, and interested-party transactions. Shai also advises to special committees of companies’ boards of directors.

In addition, Shai advises financial institutions, such as ISDA, ICMA, and ISLA on Israeli legal and regulatory issues.

Shai received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Haifa University in 2014 and was admitted to the Israeli Bar Association in 2014. During his studies Shai acted as teaching assistant in the corporate law course.

Shai joined the firm as a lawyer in 2014 and became a partner in 2022.
