Dedicated to always provide high-quality services to the clients, Alix joined EY Law in January 2020. EY Law’s non-profit clients appreciate her pragmatism, responsiveness and flexibility. With the Non-Profit and Trade Associations team, Alix is dedicated to place her legal expertise as well as her knowledge of the non-profit sector at the service of the clients to support them at each stage of their project.

Alix Degrez advises on a daily basis a numerous well-known Belgian and European (international) associations and foundations and has developed a broad expertise in dealing with non-profit associations, charities and trade organizations. Alix has an extensive experience in providing assistance with the incorporation of legal structures under Belgian and European not-for-profit law, designing tailor made governance structures for and (cross-border) reorganization projects of large and complex associations or groups of associations. Alix also assists local and international clients with M&A transactions and general corporate questions.

Alix has been listed in 2018 and 2019 as Next Generation Lawyer for not-for-profit in Belgium by The Legal 500 (EMEA).

Education

Alix graduated as Master of Laws from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2013. She subsequently obtained a Master in Law from the Queen Mary University of London in 2014.
