Position

Marco S. Meier is Counsel at Thouvenin Rechtsanwälte and specializes in information and communications technology (ICT) law. He represents and advises national and international clients in all areas of technology, data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property, banking and financial markets law as well as in technology-related compliance matters. As a trained computer scientist and Certified International Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E), he has extensive experience in the implementation of data protection compliance projects, both under Swiss law and under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, in software and licensing matters as well as technology and outsourcing projects in a variety of industries.

The resolution of ICT disputes as well as advice in advertising law are further focus areas of his practice. He also regularly advises national and multinational companies on IT/IP M&A transactions.
