Career

Jan Proesmans advises and represents a broad range of public and private clients in matters relating to employment law and social security law. Jan has a broad expertise in individual and collective employment law, including transfers of undertaking, complementary pensions, salary optimisation and benefits. Moreover, he specialises in pension law, insurance law, the governance and structure of pension funds, and all pension issues relating to both the private and the public sector. In addition, he defends his clients’ interests in complex litigation matters with respect to employment law issues, particularly occupational pension schemes. Furthermore, Jan is often asked to draft or amend pension regulations and he confidently handles international employment situations and the pension aspects of corporate transactions.
