Position

Partner. Solberg works in the fields of real property, shipping and the power industry, where he assists clients on contract law, dispute resolution, transactions and company law matters.

He has assisted in a number of transactions involving business enterprises, real property and ships, in connection with which has also undertaken due diligence assignments. He has many years’ experience of assisting venture capital companies. In recent years, he has been involved in the negotiation of several contracts for the procurement and operation of wind turbines.

A substantial portion of Solberg’s work involves projects encompassing large and complex contracts, particularly associated with the power industry and shipping. He has gained extensive experience of international standard contracts, such as various FIDIC standards, Kolemo and Kolemini, as well as BIMCO contracts.

Solberg works extensively with the negotiation, development and framing of contracts. For example, he played a key role in the development of Nye Veier’s Norwegian integrated project delivery (IPD) contract. He also played a key role in the development of the first IPD contract in Norway, in connection with the construction of Vestfold Hospital, also called the Tønsberg Project.

Solberg is a highly skilled lawyer and an efficient case manager. He is an experienced and capable project manager with the capacity to handle a substantial caseload.
