Ben Barnes is a commercial trial lawyer who leads the Dallas office of Dowd Bennett LLP. He represents clients in complex business and energy litigation, with a focus on indemnification and insurance coverage, force majeure, midstream agreements, joint operating agreements, catastrophic industrial incidents, and high-value commercial contract disputes.

His client base includes private equity sponsors, chemical and industrial manufacturers, upstream and midstream energy companies, and other businesses navigating bet-the-company litigation.

Before joining Dowd Bennett, Ben was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He is a Barrister in the Patrick E.
