Drawing on the bench strength of eight offices throughout the region, the transactional lawyers at García & Bodán continue to be a force in the marketplace, advising regional and multinational corporations and financial institutions on day-to-day corporate and finance matters and high-value, cross-border transactions. The firm’s active client base includes household names United Airlines and Payless ShoeSource, and spans such sectors as energy, food and beverages, aviation, retail, education, tobacco and telecoms. The firm’s comprehensive service extends from M&A, concessions contracts, consumer rights issues, due diligence and licensing to regulatory compliance, bond issuances, company incorporations and shareholders’ agreements. The practice is led by regional managing partner Terencio García, who was also appointed Nicaraguan office head in May 2024, and Federico Gurdián, the regional director of the corporate and transactional practice, who brings expertise to multi-jurisdictional M&A. Other key figures include tax practice head Melvin Estrada, who was appointed office deputy director in May 2024, and senior associate Dania Navarrete, who handles complex registry issues before public entities.
