Profile

Position

Regional Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips in Mexico.

Career

German began his professional career in 2003 at the corporate law firm Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. (currently Hogan Lovells), and later became a partner at Mowat, Rechtlich & Gentan I, S.C., where he developed a particular vision of the meaning of labour relations between Companies and Unions, considering both as authentic links in the process of wealth generation.

Since July 2023, he was appointed as Managing Partner by Fisher Phillips (one of the most representative firms in labour matters in the United States), as the firm began its operations in Mexico with a team of more than 70 professionals led by German in this new professional challenge and three offices (Mexico City, Queretaro and Guadalajara), thus consolidating as the largest offering in Mexico in labour legal services.

In 2019, German was dubbed by EXPANSIÓN (the most important business magazine in Mexico) as one of the most outstanding personalities in the country under the age of 40. He also stands out for his constant presence in digital media, radio, television, newspapers and magazines, mainly giving interviews related to current issues in the labour law world in Mexico, Central and South America.

German represents national and international companies before trade union associations, in the elaboration and execution of Collective Bargain Agreements, which has resulted in harmonious relations that promote the investment of large capitals, among others, in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries.

Labour and Employment Law

The development of his professional practice has been characterised by the search for proximity with the main actors in the labour field in Mexico, such as the Labour Authorities, Trade Unions and Chambers of Industry and Commerce.

His professional performance has taken him to various national and international law forums, where he has had the opportunity to share his experiences with the main stakeholders in matters such as large-scale labour dispute resolution and the creation of legal structures to harmonise complicated labour relations in a globalised world.
