Position

Claire Davies KC was appointed King's Counsel in 2022 and Recorder in 2016.

Claire undertakes the most serious and complex of cases, many of which attract media attention, including the largest ever prosecution in Europe for Modern Slavery offences lasting over 4 months. Claire's practice encompasses a wide range of offences, Murders, HSE Manslaughters, Serious Sexual offences, Complex Fraud and Drugs cases. Commended for her attention to detail, tactical approach to cases, devastating cross examination, persuasive and powerful speeches. Claire is a formidable advocate. Her client care is first class.

She has significant experience in dealing with expert evidence including areas of 'baby shaking', DNA, cell site and financial.

Claire is experienced in complex sexual offence cases, current and historic, and particularly those involving intermediaries.
