Position

Eugene is a Barrister and Arbitrator based in Hong Kong with Prince’s Chambers.

Career

Eugene graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws (with First Class Honours) before joining international law firm Baker & McKenzie in 2000, where he remained with its Dispute Resolution Group until 2008 when he joined the Hong Kong Bar as a barrister focusing on commercial disputes.

Eugene has a busy practice that includes complex and general commercial litigation and arbitration, contract and transactional disputes, corporate insolvencies and restructuring cases, shareholder disputes, personal bankruptcies, and probate and wills disputes.

In addition to being a Hong Kong barrister, Eugene is qualified as a solicitor in the State of New South Wales (Australia) and the High Court of Australia, as well as the courts of England & Wales.

Eugene also accepts appointments to sit as an independent arbitrator, and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and has completed the CIArb’s intensive Applied Arbitration for Fellows course.  Eugene is on the Panel of Arbitrators for the Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center (BAC/BIAC) and the Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA).
