Position
Nicolaj Kleist is founder and owner of KLEIST Legal and is a highly regarded advisor to Danish and international companies and organisations.
Nicolaj has extensive experience in advising on regulatory matters and public law issues and regularly assists in disputes before public authorities, complaints boards and the courts with a strong track record of succesful challenges to decisions of public authorities.
His main areas of expertise include the energy and infrastructure sectors, where he advises energy and supply utilities within oil, gas, electricity, renewables and heating, as well as the life sciences sectors.
Career
Nicolaj Kleist got his law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 2003 and qualified as a lawyer in 2006. Before founding KLEIST Legal in 2020, Nicolaj had since 2013 been partner at the Copenhagen law firm Bruun & Hjejle, where he was head of the Energy and regulatory practice group.
