Regarded by some as ‘one of the best practices in Colombia for tax matters’, Goh is distinguished by the breadth and depth of its sector coverage. Demonstrating strong skill sets in all key tax disciplines, the team advises its diverse roster of clients on regulatory compliance, tax planning, transaction structuring, administrative disputes and transfer pricing matters. The team is equipped to represent clients from across Colombia’s main industry sectors, with particular experience in infrastructure, financial services, TMT and energy and natural resources. Co-founding partner Catalina Hoyos leads the tax litigation practice and contributes ’in-depth understanding of substantive issues and litigation strategy’. In a landmark ruling, Hoyos recently obtained the annulment of regulations requiring the return of the tax benefit for investments in fixed assets to the DIAN. Managing partner Juan Pablo Godoy co-heads the tax department alongside Hoyos; he brings expertise in tax concerning the extractive industries and is currently advising Ecopetrol on tax matters relating to renewable energy projects. The team also includes associate director Claria Inés Ramírez, who joined in December 2024 from the DIAN; and Andrés Felipe Romero, who was promoted to senior associate in January 2025. Senior associate Camilo Gamboa left the firm in November 2024, while associate director Maria Fernanda Rubio departed in April 2025.
