The Nevada legislature approved AB360 to allow the governor, upon recommendation from the Nevada Gaming Commission, to enter into compacts with other jurisdictions to expand the reach of Nevada's legalized interactive gaming. The bill allows Nevada to enter into compacts, not only with states, but other jurisdictions – including tribal and foreign.
The legislation only allows compacts with other jurisdictions that prohibit operators, service providers, manufacturers or distributors that are not licensed by Nevada or by the other signatory jurisdiction, so long as the other signatory jurisdiction has requirements "that are materially consistent" with Nevada's licensing requirements.
Additionally, if Nevada enters into a compact that allows persons physically present in Nevada to participate in interactive gaming conducted in another jurisdiction, the other jurisdiction must "establish and maintain regulatory requirements governing interactive gaming that are materially consistent with the requirements" of Nevada.
