この度、対米外国投資委員会（Committee
on Foreign Investment in the United States,
CFIUS）は2014年の執行状況等について年次報告を発表しました。この報告によれば、2014年は147件（2013年の52％増）の取引に関し、CFIUSへの通知がなされ、その内の約35％にあたる51件について調査が開始されました。この割合は、比較的安定していた2012年以前の過去の水準とほぼ同程度といえますが、一方で、正式な届出までの届出前相談の期間は長期化傾向にあり、依然CFIUSの審査手続き及び対応措置に関する合意（mitigation
agreement）に多くの時間を要するということは変わりません。
上記は米国で買収その他投資（特に防衛産業に関連しうる場合）を行うことを検討している日本企業にとって有益な情報と思われますので、紹介します。
