LOOSE LIPS THREATEN TO SINK THE DREAMLINER

On April 20, 2011, the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint against Boeing Aircraft arising out of Boeing's decision to manufacture three Dreamliners per month in its nonunion facility in South Carolina, instead of in the Company's unionized facility in Washington state, where it is already planning to build five of the aircraft per month. If successful, the Board could order Boeing to transfer the work back to their unionized plant.

The stated reason why the Board is injecting itself into what is clearly a management business decision is to protect the rights of unionized employees in Washington to engage in a future strike, if they so choose.
