On October 12, a Pennsylvania federal court granted final approval of a $5.2 million Telephone Consumer Protection Act class action against Power Home Remodeling Group LLC.

Power Home is a home remodeling company that, according to the class action complaint, uses aggressive telemarketing and door-to-door solicitations to recruit new customers.  Plaintiff alleged that Power Home called his cell phone at least seventeen times without his written consent and even after Plaintiff had requested to be placed on the "do-not-call" list.

The settlement class consists of all persons who received a call made by or on behalf of Power Home on his or her cell phone where the call was made using an automatic telephone dialing system ("ATDS") and/or pre-recorded or artificial voice message during the period from October 16, 2013 to April 27, 2016.  The class consists of over 1.1 million persons.
