Belarus: More Onerous Requirements for Employers of Temporary Residents

As of August 23, 2025, employers of temporary residents of Belarus (with the exception of citizens of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union) must comply with the following points:

Sign employment contracts within 30 calendar days from the date of entry into Belarus (or within 30 calendar days from the date of obtaining a special work permit for those who enter Belarus before obtaining the permit). This corresponds to a reduction of the current time frame of six months.
Inspection of the foreigner's place of residence at least once during the period of validity of the employment contract (with the state authorities) to ensure that the foreigner actually lives there and that the living conditions are acceptable.
