As well as detailing individual and business tax changes for the
year ahead, there is a significant focus in the 2019 budget on
providing support and incentives for small and medium-sized
enterprises.
Singapore is celebrating its Bicentennial (200 years since Sir
Stamford Raffles first landed on its shores) and the country's
2019 fiscal budget for the 12 months from 1 April 2019 is focused
on building a 'Strong, United Singapore'. As well as
announcing individual and business tax changes for the year ahead,
there is a significant focus on providing support and incentives
for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to foster innovation
and promote the scaling up of businesses.
