Poland has begun transposing the European Union's Pay Transparency Directive (Directive (EU) 2023/970) into national law. The first of the Directive's measures will be enforced through amendments to the existing Labour Code, and new measures include transparency obligations in the recruitment stage and a prohibition on requesting salary history. From 24 December 2025, Polish law will require employers to provide transparent information to job applicants and to ensure a fair and gender neutral recruitment process.
