VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF) has completed its migration from the Cayman Islands to Guernsey and its move from AIM to the premium segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Directors of VOF announced back in October 2015 that the fund would be migrating to Guernsey, highlighting that the fund's place of domicile and its quotation on AIM were barriers to certain potential new investors. Among the reasons for choosing Guernsey were the Island's well-established infrastructure for the administration of closed-ended funds listed on the LSE and a robust regulatory and compliance regime.

Carey Olsen's corporate practice advised VOF on both the Guernsey aspects of the migration and the move to the Main Market of the LSE. The team was led by Partner Ben Morgan and included Senior Associate Annette Alexander and Associate Claire Cooke.
