12月9日、知的財産権の司法保護に関する国際シンポジウムが広東省広州で開催された。広東省高級人民法院の張海波院長、世界知的所有権機関（WIPO）仲裁調停センターのカストロ局長、清華大学法学院の周光権院長がシンポジウムに出席した。
今回シンポジウムのテーマは「新時代における知財司法保護のチャンスと課題」。知財司法保護の現代化と国際化、知財国際ガバナンス体制の公正で合理的な発展、粤港澳大湾区（グレーターベイエリア）における知財司法保護の全面的な強化などのテーマについて議論が行われた。
オーストラリア、日本、韓国、米国と中国大陸部、香港、マカオの裁判官、専門家、政府関係者およそ100名余りがシンポジウムに参加した。
