5月30日午後、中国の習近平国家主席とアラブ首長国連邦（UAE）のムハンマド大統領の立ち会いの下、「中華人民共和国国家知識産権局とアラブ首長国連邦経済省の知的財産権分野における協力に関する覚書」が北京の人民大会堂で調印された。覚書には、国家知識産権局の申長雨局長と、UAEのゼイユーディ貿易担当国務大臣がそれぞれ両国の知的財産権主管部門を代表して署名した。
この覚書により、両国は特許、意匠、商標、地理的表示、集積回路配置図設計などの分野で協力することで合意した。これにより、両国間の知的財産権保護と技術交流がさらに深化し、両国の経済・技術関係の発展が促進されることが期待される。
