Canada's anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) has introduced new regimes governing the sending of commercial electronic messages and the installation of computer programs. The anti-spam provisions came into effect on July 1, 2014, and additional provisions regarding the installation of computer programs will come into effect on January 15, 2015.

Davis LLP's Bill Hearn moderated a panel discussion at the Lexpert professional development course Information Privacy and Data Protection on November 27, 2014. Titled "How Strong Is Your CASL?
