CanadaEnergy and Natural Resources

The British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission has enacted the new Liquefied Natural Gas Facility Regulation (the "Regulation"). The Regulation updates and significantly expands on the LNG-related provisions previously found in the Pipeline and Liquefied Natural Gas Facility Regulation. The Regulation applies to both small- and large-scale LNG facilities, and provides a comprehensive framework for LNG facility permit applications, construction and operation of an LNG facility, emergency planning requirements, and site restoration.

The full text of the Regulation can be found here.
