The team at New Park Court Chambers has a solid track record in handling a wide range of health and safety work, and is highly regarded for acting in environmental matters. Paul Greaney KCÂ defended one of two company directors charged with manslaughter by gross negligence; both individuals were acquitted. New Park Court Chambers is a large and well-established set, comprising 70+ barristers in Leeds and Newcastle, including a number of KCs. Some of our barristers also sit in a part-time capacity as Recorders or Tribunal Chairmen.
New Park Court Chambers in Leeds and Newcastle employs 15 members of staff, including clerks and support staff. With the increase in specialisation, New Park Court Chambers have developed to respond to the needs of clients both in strength and depth.
We are proud of our strong reputation for conducting substantial cases. Major criminal, regulatory, civil and family cases together with complex medical negligence and health and safety prosecutions are all undertaken as part of the daily work of our barristers, in addition to inquests, judicial review and cases involving human rights issues. Numerous cases are conducted in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court and members of the specialist teams have appeared in the European Court.
