Position

Robert joined Chambers in October 2024 after completing pupillage under the supervision of Patrick Vincent KC, Rachit Buch, James Sullivan and Edward Ramsay. He has developed expertise across all of Chambers’ core practice areas.

Robert has a busy court practice, covering hearings and applications multiple times a week. He recently appeared in the Court of Appeal, led by Robert Weir KC, in the landmark case of PMC v A Local Health Board, which concerned anonymity and the application of the Human Rights Act to clinical negligence litigation.

He has a growing paperwork practice, and provides advice and pleadings relating to personal injury, clinical negligence, and employment.

Before pupillage, Robert worked for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. As a diplomat, he undertook postings in Central Europe and East Africa.

Robert obtained a distinction on both the Bar Vocational Course and the Graduate Diploma in Law. He was also awarded a BVS Scholarship for the Bar Course. He holds a double first-class degree in English from Pembroke College, Cambridge.
