Established over 50 years ago by a small number of forward-thinking barristers, with sustained and targeted recruitment Kenworthy’s Chambers has developed into a multi-disciplinary set of over 50 members including two Queen’s Counsel. Types of work undertaken: Kenworthy’s Chambers’ members provide specialist advice and representation at all levels of seniority in a wide range of disciplines, before all courts of England and Wales and other parts of the UK. Due to the multi-disciplinary practice areas of chambers, it has a number of members that offer cross-disciplinary advice; this service is proving very popular with commercial and private clients.
Many of the barristers are also qualified to accept work directly from lay clients under the public access scheme.
Criminal law: Renowned for its strong reputation as experts in this field, Kenworthy’s Chambers has been at the forefront of high-profile cases at a national level for more than 30 years. Business Crime and Regulatory law: The set offers a select team that undertakes a variety of work, including technically complicated cases, corporate manslaughter, negligent manslaughter, the Health and Safety at Work Act, trading standards, food safety, inquests linked to HSE investigations, and Article 2 inquests in death in custody cases.
Chancery and commercial: The select team offers a wide range of services: commercial arbitration, business disputes, commercial fraud, company law, copyright and trade marks, credit and leasing, corporate and personal insolvency, directors’ disqualification, equitable remedies, insurance, intellectual property, landlord and tenant, mediation, partnerships, probate, the administration of estates, sale of goods, and trusts.
