Position

Clementine has a busy Crown Court practice defending people accused of dishonesty offences, weapons, serious violence, drugs, and domestic abuse.

Clementine acts as lead junior or junior alone.

As junior alone, Clementine frequently defends in drugs cases representing young people and vulnerable adults who have been victims of modern slavery. Clementine joined 25 Bedford Row from Release where she ran legal-outreach projects at drug and alcohol clinics so she has particular expertise assisting those with substance use disorders. Clementine also appears in the Youth Court for unusually grave or difficult cases requiring certificate for counsel.

As led junior, Clementine has recently acted in complex frauds as well as firearms cases.

Clementine is part of the Chambers’ inquests and inquiries group.

Career

She is on the Attorney General’s ‘junior juniors’ Panel of Counsel.

Clementine has experience as a caseworker in the public law department of a legal aid firm where she acted on behalf of prisoners in human rights challenges against decisions made by the Secretary of State for Justice.
