Testimonials

Clerks:

All clerks are very good and very helpful, especially Colin who goes over and above for all the solicitors.

Always very helpful and engaging.

As referred to above, all clerks at this chambers are professional, friendly, easily contactable and approachable. They are always willing and ready to assist and to work to ensure counsel is fully made available and that any cover of counsel is arranged to meet expectations and requirements at all times. There is a great depth of cover in the clerks room, meaning you will always speak to someone when you call and are not kept waiting or passed to different people. In particular Head Clerk Colin Palmer makes himself available 24/7 and is always contactable to deal with any matters. He has been Head Clerk for some time now and I have always found him to be incredibly hard working, approachable and willing to help to arrange counsels diary in dealing with booking conferences and hearings for counsel to deal, to suit instructing solicitors and clients alike at all times. I would not have any fear or reluctance in any case, in the knowledge that he is working hard, making counsel available to cover any case I have instructed counsel in.

Helpful and reliable.

Chambers are very supportive.

Colin and his team are friendly, flexible and approachable.

Colin Palmer and Jamie Kyte are exceptional clerks. There is rarely any delay in answering questions and they are flexible when dealing with availability of counsel. They will often speak with us out of hours if problems arise and calmly deal with any issues.

Colin Palmer is an excellent ambassador and senior clerk. Always approachable.

Colin Palmer the Senior Clerk, Jamie Kyte the Civil Clerk and Yvonne Simmons the Family Clerk are all quite simply excellent.

Whilst being friendly and a reliable bunch, they have backbone too.

Colin, head clerk is always interested to understand what solicitors and clients are looking for and is proactive in asking for feedback and suggestions.

Colin, Lewis and the team at KBG go out of their way to assist.

Efficient and courteous service.

Set:

A good professional set which cover all types of work.

A good set with a number of barristers who deal with family cases in a compassionate yet forthright way.

A very well regarded set who are accessible and always ready to assist

Chambers are always quick to respond and have good availability. They provide good quality training and are always very approachable.

Chambers has great strength in depth. I deal with public law care cases as well as divorce and there are a number of very good Counsel who specialise in public law work. We are lucky as they are local so they are a major part of our legal community providing training and social activities. I have also been very impressed with their up and coming young Junior Counsel, particularly in public law and private child cases who are knowledgeable, motivated and well prepared.

Excellent family set.

Helpful set always keen to provide the appropriate counsel with experienced back up when necessary, and free training provided from time to time for practitioners.

Rarely is there any lapse in time between and enquiry and getting a matter up and running.

I regularly instruct various Counsel from this chambers from the senior junior and junior end, for various criminal cases. They have a very strong range of counsel available.

They are my ‘go to’ set – a solid and well respected set.

They have good depth, are very approachable and price competitive.

Irrespective of the deadline, timeframe provided or urgency, KBG Chambers will always have somebody available to assist and advise. Their fees are reasonable and realistic and their offering of civil litigation members is superb.

Very good set, with strong junior base.
