Howard Stevens KC was appointed Head of Chambers in May 2022. He has a wide-ranging common law practice, combining first instance and appellate work.

He has been instructed in many important cases, including:

appeals to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court
references to the Court of Justice of the European Union
numerous appeals to the Privy Council, including landmark criminal and constitutional appeals
in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights by a State party to the American Convention on Human Rights
advising the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago in connection with allegations made against the Chief Justice
the inquests following the 2015 terrorist attack in Tunisia and related civil proceedings

in connection with the Grenfell Tower disaster
numerous catastrophic personal injury claims arising from accidents in the UK and abroad
