Liesbeth Buiter is Partner and leads the Amsterdam Real Estate practice specialising in real estate transactions, with a focus on pan-European real estate transactions, covering all asset classes (residential, hospitality, logistics and office space) and major (re)development projects. She co-leads the Projects group with a particular focus on (project financed) renewable energy and infrastructure deals. She joined the firm in 2008, having trained and qualified at CMS. She has spent time working in the Paris office, and is qualified in the Netherlands.

Angela is the Africa Practice Leader for Green Financing.

Mike combines deep sector knowledge in renewables (including offshore, onshore, solar, wind, biomass, tidal wave and battery storage), aviation and infrastructure finance with legal skills and pragmatic advice. He has advised energy firms, banks, lenders, sponsors, institutional investors and aviation companies and lessors across several domestic and cross-border project & asset based transactions. He is a regular contributor to the loose-leaf publications Aircraft Liens & Detention Rights and Aircraft Finance by Sweet & Maxwell and has issued several briefings on various renewable energy related topics.

Marian Scheele specialises in the financial regulatory and legal aspects of financial institutions, with a focus on Fintechs (incl. banks, EMIs, PSPs, platforms, crypto and blockchain companies). She leads the Fintech Team and co-leads the Tech Team of Clifford Chance Amsterdam. Her expertise includes advising on licensing and registration, governance, structure and organisation and other ongoing license requirements. She is frequently involved in corporate restructurings and M&A transactions including IPOs. She contributes to the implementation of EU financial regulatory law in Dutch national law. Marian is a member of the Public Affairs Committee of INREV. She is ranked in the leading legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500.

Evert Verwey is Counsel in the Amsterdam Litigation practice and part of the Restructuring and Insolvency team of Clifford Chance Amsterdam. He specializes in insolvency-related matters, contentious restructuring and work-out scenarios. He is active in general banking and finance litigation with a focus on security rights, directors’ liability and lender liability issues. Evert advises banks, financial institutions, and larger companies (and their (supervisory) directors). He also litigates for this group of clients in these areas of law. Evert used to be a court appointed bankruptcy receiver and has several positions in industry bodies (such as INSOL Europe).
