Career
Thania is a Dominican and Spanish lawyer with more than 20 years of experience. She practiced law in Spain focusing on corporate, intellectual property, data protection, international commercial and labor law in other Big Four law firms. In 2013, she returned to the Dominican Republic where she practiced corporate, finance, capital markets, energy, infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, labor and immigration law. She joined EY LAW in 2018 to develop the firm in the Dominican Republic. Her business knowledge enables her to provide added value to the client by using legal tools to achieve the clients' business objectives. She has significant experience assisting European clients carrying out acquisitions, financial structuring, corporate governance, syndicated loan agreements, energy and infrastructure investments in the Dominican Republic. She has consulted on significant national and international due diligence and post-merger and post-acquisition integration. She led important M&A transitions, several syndicated loan agreements in the private and public sectors in the range of USD$40MM and US$585MM. She also led the negotiation for the operation and maintenance of infrastructure facilities for the construction of the first, second and third cable car for public transportation in the DR, has led bond issues for USD$50MM and USD$100MM and advised on Credit Agreements for USD$125MM, as well as several projects in the traditional energy sector and renewable energy, in addition to other significant transactions. IFLR1000 and Legal 500 recognized her as a leader in her field.

Education
She is a graduate of Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra de Santo Domingo (PUCMM) and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). She has a master's degree in commercial business, another in international trade and economics from the University of Barcelona, also has participated in the Board Members Improvement Course and the Senior Business Management Program (PADE) from BARNA Management School, is a member of EY's Global Energy leadership team and Certified PPP Professional (CP3P©) Ifrastructure Knowledge & Best Practice K-Infra.
