Edgar Herrera
Edgar Herrera has been part of the GALA team since 2004, specializing in domestic and international Tax Law. He was a correspondent for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD) based in Amsterdam, Kingdom of the Netherlands. His professional commitment led him to be founder of the Panamanian Chapter of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), of which he was its first president and is currently honorary president. In addition, he was the organizer of the Regional Meeting of this organization in Panama City, in 2019. He is a recognized expert in the practical application of Treaties to Avoid Double Taxation, as well as a consultant and litigator lawyer in cases of international taxation and transfer pricing. He stands out as an international speaker on International Taxation in countries such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States of America.

Jeimy Lasso has been with Galindo, Arias & López since 2010, the year in which he began his private practice. Since then she has emphasized the areas of Administrative Law, Procedural Law, Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods (Arbitration), Intellectual Property and Labor Litigation. Before starting his private practice, Jeimy worked as a court reporter, stenographer, secretary of the judge in the judiciary, Supreme Court of Justice, Administrative Litigation Chamber. In addition, she was appointed by the Supreme Court of Justice as a member of the Commission in charge of the implementation of the Accusatory Penal System.

Partner Raúl Alberto Morales has been part of Galindo, Arias & López since 2012, concentrating his practice in Corporate law, with a particular focus on estate planning for private clients. Raúl Alberto frequently advises local and international High Net Worth clients with the organization of detailed corporate structures, including Private Interest Foundations and Trusts, which centered on the succession of assets and family governance. A significant part of his clientele includes people who have chosen to move to or retire in Panama, advising them on everything related to the establishment of businesses and the obtaining of various types of permits necessary to begin commercial operations, as well as the acquisition of real estate and other assets in general, thus becoming the primary contact for his clients in Panama. Complementing his corporate practice, Raúl Alberto also leads the firm's intellectual property department, having a comprehensive practice that includes the registration and protection of trademarks, industrial designs, patents and utility models for all types of products and services, having extensive experience negotiating franchise contracts and IP usage licenses.
