Peter Schorling is Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig's Berlin office and co-chairs the firm's German Corporate Group, focusing his practice on M&A transactions. Peter advises on all aspects of M&A and corporate law, providing in-depth expertise in buy-side and sell-side transactions, private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and capital markets. In particular, this includes various cross-border projects for international clients. Peter has wide-ranging experience advising clients in the real estate and media, technology & telecommunications sectors.

Based on his extensive experience, Peter is recognized by legal directories as a leading advisor. He is perceived as "clever and savvy and understands the complexities in cases" and "an exceptional counsel and support throughout complex international acquisitions" (Chambers and Partners 2023). He was awarded “Lawyer of the year 2018 and 2017, Private Equity” by Handelsblatt, and “Leading Partner in Real Estate Law" by JUVE from 2015 - 2022 and by Who is Who Legal from 2016 - 2022.

Prior to joining the firm, Peter worked at Olswang in Germany as a partner and in the corporate group and the real estate group of Freshfields in Berlin and Munich as well as for Merrill Lynch, Global Principal Investments, in London.
