Bernardo is a founding partner of the Firm and has over 35 years of experience leading the areas of structured finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), aviation, and litigation.

Bernardo has participated in major transactions such as the financing of the Medellín Metro, the acquisition of Central, North and South Cerrejón, the acquisition of Ferrocarril del Norte (Fenoco), the sale of BellSouth’s assets in Colombia, and the establishment of Carrefour in Colombia, among others.

His practice focuses on finance and M&A, with a particular emphasis on cross-border transactions. Bernardo represents leading international financial institutions, advising on matters such as asset-based financing, corporate finance, cross-border financing, private placements, secured loans, and note issuances.

Bernardo combines strong transactional expertise with extensive experience in defending his clients’ interests, characterized by anticipation, dispute prevention, and a long-term strategic vision.
