Lindsey Abbott
Lindsey is an experienced employment solicitor, specialising in representing employers in discrimination and unfair dismissal claims.  She also has experience in liaising and negotiating directly with opposing legal teams and via ACAS, to achieve settlement on a range of cases from public interest disclosure claims to race discrimination claims, as well as negotiating the terms of Settlement Agreements for clients. Aside from contentious areas of employment law, Lindsey also provides HR advice on day to day employment law issues, transfer of undertakings (TUPE) and employment related liabilities, as well as drafting bespoke documentation including contracts and handbooks. She is renowned for her pragmatic and practical approach and has experience in a range of industries, including media, healthcare, maintenance and restaurants. Lindsey regularly delivers HR seminars on new legislation, case law updates and hot topics for HR managers as well as writing for client newsletters and publications.

Tim is a qualified solicitor and specialises in technology and commercial law.  He has postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology and Telecommunications law from both Strathclyde University and Queen Mary, University of London. Tim provides specialist support on intellectual property, technology and data protection aspects of corporate transactions.  Tim has spoken on open source and technology matters and also writes on the subject. Tim has 20 years’ experience providing expert legal advice to a wide range of clients.  He advises new companies on all aspects of the start-up journey and provides support to SMEs and multinationals launching new products.  He has particular experience working in regulated sectors. Tim regularly advises clients on strategically important and high value commercial transactions and travels to support clients on significant cross-border deals.  Tim also assists clients with ongoing transactional work, including optimising and providing training on internal deal cycle procedures.

Julia has over 15 years’ experience in commercial property law. She specialises in business landlord and tenant transactions with particular expertise acting for corporate occupiers of owner managed businesses on leasehold acquisitions and disposals of business premises both locally and nationally, including offices, industrial and retail units. She also advises developers and tenants negotiating pre-let agreements as well as working with regional landlords on their property portfolios, negotiating leases, renewals, dealing with consent applications and providing general advice on property management issues. She also deals with freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, conditional contracts, option agreements, overage and pre-emption agreements as well as providing support to the corporate department on company and asset sales and acquisitions and restructuring.

Teri specialises in corporate law, with a particular focus on transactional work including sales, acquisitions, management buy outs and investments. She has experience of acting for purchasers and investors as well as vendors and companies and has good experience of cross border transactions including those which have had elements to consider in the US, France, Germany, Australia, France Hong Kong and Jersey. She also has experience of AIM listings. She advises on all types of corporate restructuring including capital reductions, share repurchases, hive ups and demergers, as well as corporate compliance and principal agreements such as shareholders agreements, partnership agreements and LLP member’s agreements. She also advises on company share schemes including HMRC approved schemes such as EMI, CSOP SIPs and EBTs. She also drafts more bespoke arrangements such as phantom schemes and flowering or part paid share arrangements. She is commercially focused and has a good knowledge of the financial and tax aspects of all types of corporate transactions. Teri was named ‘Most Influential Woman in Corporate Transactions Law 2018 – UK’ in Acquisition International’s Global Excellence Awards. Notable transactions include advising listed US group on multi-billion dollar UK restructuring, $80million sale of Hong Kong tech company, £10million sale of London based fashion and photographic business, £10.8 million purchase of engineering firm, MBO of recruitment firm from construction giant MACE, complex restructuring and partial exit for international creative production company, Flexion Mobile Plc on the company’s re-registration as a public company and its listing on the NASDAQ First North market, the sale of award winning betting and gaming digital solutions company Grand Parade Limited to strategic buyer William Hill PLC, for £13.6 million, the £6 million sale of Teamultra to Computacenter (UK) Limited, , the sale of notable branded slushy drinks company to Vimto, multiple fundraising rounds for energy company GnERGY, , the demerger of a South East based nursing and respite care provider, the sale of legal software provider Peapod, and the £18 million sale of aerospace, military, telecommunications software provider Varisys Limited.

Barry has over 30 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer and has worked a substantial amount of that time in the city. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Barry specialises in corporate law, with a particular focus on venture capital and private equity investments, acquisition finance, management buy-outs, mergers & acquisitions, and shareholder agreements. He has extensive experience of acting for large international technology companies, growing companies and venture capital funds, as well as cross-border transactions. He has acted for a number of NASDAQ, NYSE and FTSE 250 multinational clients, a range of UK and US venture capital firms, various owner managed or private equity backed growing businesses; and several start-ups. Will Pearce
Will is a solicitor in the corporate team. He joined Moorcrofts in 2012, after having trained and qualified in 2010 at BPE Solicitors LLP in Cheltenham. He acts on a wide variety of transactions for both individual and corporate clients, based both in the UK and abroad, including public companies (many of which are listed on AIM and similar markets). In particular, Will specialises in company acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, investments, fundraisings, shareholders agreements and corporate governance matters.

Sharan has extensive experience in the area of commercial property law. She specialises in commercial property transactions including: sales, purchases, landlord and tenant work, and corporate refinancing or lending acting for the lender or the borrower. She also has experience in acting for developers acquiring property for development, dealing with the site assembly and plots sales, both freeholder and leasehold and advises on overage agreements, section 106 agreements, land promotion agreements and conditional contracts subject to planning. Sharan also works in conjunction with the corporate team assisting with all property matters in corporate transactions.
