Ben Goldby helps trustee and sponsoring employer clients to navigate the complex and ever-changing legislative and regulatory pensions landscape.

He has advised on scheme mergers, liability management exercises, buy-in and buy-out risk transfer projects, closure of final salary pension schemes to future accrual and scheme wind-up. Ben also advises employer clients on group life assurance and healthcare trusts.

Ben enjoys the variety of working across a number of industries and sectors, while maintaining his focus on providing clear and commercially focused legal solutions. As a former journalist he uses his communication skills to provide engaging, simple and accessible pensions law advice to clients.

Working against the clock on a £200 million pensioner buy-in to produce benefit specifications, negotiate contractual terms with the insurer and provide clear and concise trustee advice. The closure to future accrual of two large DB pension schemes for a major client. The buy-out and wind-up of a £100 million executive top-up DB pension scheme.
