Laura is a managing associate in the employment team and has experience advising on all aspects of employment law, from HR support and strategic advice, to high profile court and tribunal claims. Clients value Laura’s direct, commercial approach as she works closely with them to effectively manage employee issues and disputes.Laura advises clients across all sectors including retail, luxury goods, financial services, sport and life sciences, on employment law and HR strategy – from tailoring contracts and policies to advising on redundancies, misconduct, performance issues, negotiated exits, absence management, discrimination and board level appointments.  She also has experience advising on, and running, sensitive internal disciplinary and grievance investigations.Laura has recently been involved in managing various high profile disputes, including acting for a group of executives in a multi-million dollar bonus claim and defending well-known brands in complex employment tribunal cases.Laura has assisted financial services clients on the implementation of the regulatory regimes in the UK and DIFC by drafting contract and policy updates, and advising on related issues involving disciplinary action, internal investigations and regulatory references. She also works closely with our data protection and employee incentives experts to advise clients on these specialist areas.Laura advises on the employee aspects of asset and share sale transactions, and on the TUPE implications of multi-jurisdictional business sales and service outsourcing.Laura delivers bespoke training to senior managers and HR teams, and hosts events for HR professionals to educate and share experiences.Laura qualified in Scotland in 2014.
