Mohamed is a bilingual (Arabic and English) Partner, leading the shipping and insurance practices across the Middle East.

Having qualified in Egypt in 2004, he relocated to Dubai in 2011 and specialises in dispute resolution within the shipping, international trade, aviation and insurance sectors.

He represents clients in litigation across the UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, handling civil, commercial and criminal cases. His clients include shipowners, P&I clubs, ports, ship agencies, charterers, energy companies and traders. Mohamed manages complex wet shipping disputes such as collisions, allisions, ship abandonment, fire, salvage, groundings and oil pollution, as well as dry shipping issues including ship arrests, charterparty disputes and cargo claims.

Beyond disputes, Mohamed advises on transactional matters assisting with drafting and negotiating contracts such as sale and purchase agreements, logistics and trade contracts.

His insurance expertise spans life, property, liability, marine, political risk and medical policies. Mohamed is well known in the insurance market and has handled complex disputes on behalf of insurers, reinsurers and brokers in the Middle East.

In aviation, he advises on air carriage disputes, aircraft lease, mortgage and ownership issues, having represented airlines and manufacturers in significant Middle East aviation casualties.
