Position

Dom is a Supervising Associate in the Financial Services Funds group and a core member of the Regulated Funds team at Simmons & Simmons LLP. Dom specialises in the structuring, establishment and ongoing operation of investment funds, with deep expertise in regulatory and compliance matters across both UK and EU regimes.

Dom acts as lead associate on fund formation matters, advising a diverse client base of fund managers, investors and service providers on legal issues relating to UCITS, NURS, QIS and LTAFs. He is also highly experienced in open-ended private asset vehicles—including LTAFs, ELTIFs and Luxembourg Part II UCIs—spanning private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure and hybrid strategies.

With a particular focus on expanding access to illiquid assets for defined contribution pension schemes and retail investors, Dom has contributed to the Productive Finance Working Group and has played a pivotal role in several high-profile and innovative fund launches. Notably, he advised Schroders Capital on the launch of the UK’s first Long-Term Asset Fund.

Dom also provides strategic advice on regulatory developments impacting fund operations, including the UK Sustainable Disclosure Regime, Overseas Fund Regime, Consumer Duty, AIFMD and the UCITS Regulation.
