Diversity and Inclusion

We seek to reflect the communities in which we operate and the clientele with whom we work. Our broad practice brings us into contact with an unusually diverse client group. But ultimately, being fully inclusive in our recruitment and treatment of our people is simply the right thing to do.

CSR
We commit to carrying out our business in a responsible and sustainable way by minimising our impact on the environment through awareness of the resources we use, the waste we produce and the carbon emissions for which we are responsible. We seek to proactively contribute to sustaining our natural resources where we can.
- We aim to procure and use sustainable or recycled resources.
- We aim to reduce the waste we produce by re-using, donating and/or recycling the majority of our waste.
- We aim to minimise carbon emissions arising from travel to work and within work.
We offset the firm’s carbon emissions by sponsoring development projects around the world through Carbonfootprint.com.
We seek to help sustain the bee population of London and installed beehives on the roof of our Putney office.
Community involvement
Supporting charities
We support a number of local and national charities through sponsorships and staff fundraising events. We donate £5 to charity for each client feedback form returned. Each year the two charities we donate to are selected by our staff and are currently:
- First Touch – dedicated to the neonatal unit at St George’s Hospital.
- Mind – offers information and advice to people with mental health problems.
We also support the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney which provides specialist services for patients with brain injury and neurological diseases, and Friends of Richmond Park.
We also host visits from the National Citizen Service – the Challenge, a government-funded initiative bringing together schools, community organisations, businesses and individuals to build a stronger and more cohesive society.
Supporting local sports clubs
Russell-Cooke is delighted to support a number of sporting organisations in Surrey and SW London. We are principal sponsor of Cobham Rugby Club, and we sponsor Cobham Netball Club, Barnes RFC Minis Club and Roehampton Gold Cup, a pro-am tournament for female golfers. We provide sponsorship and legal support to Surbiton Hockey Club.
Supporting the arts
Russell-Cooke supports a number of arts organisations in and around London including the Rose Theatre in Kingston and Temple Music Foundation.
