Career

Ja’far Al-Sabbagh is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as an Attorney-at-Law in Jordan. He holds both an LLB and an LLM from the University of Liverpool. He is a Partner at Al Khair Legal Attorneys and leads the firm’s corporate and commercial division.

Ja’far has extensive experience advising on high-value and complex cross-border transactions. His core practice includes corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder relations, and regulatory compliance. He regularly drafts and negotiates critical transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, investment agreements, and joint venture agreements.

He advises a wide spectrum of clients—from startups and family businesses to multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals—across sectors including trade finance, commodities, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, aviation, logistics, hospitality, retail, and technology.

In addition to transactional work, Ja’far has led numerous contentious matters, representing multinational corporations in commercial litigation and arbitration disputes, with claims exceeding 20 million JOD. His representative work includes defense preparation in agency commission claims, trademark infringement disputes, and arbitration claims exceeding USD 10 million.

Prior to joining Al Khair Legal Attorneys, Ja’far was a Principal Associate at Kayan Law and an Associate at Eversheds Sutherland, where he handled matters involving employment law, construction, commercial agency contracts, IP rights, criminal law, and complex business disputes.

Recognized by Chambers and Partners as an “Up and Coming” lawyer in Corporate/Commercial law in Jordan, Ja’far is known for his strategic legal problem-solving, his ability to structure multi-jurisdictional deals, and his commitment to delivering practical, results-driven legal solutions.
