Position
Emily is an Associate Solicitor at Lux Family Law.
Career
Emily qualified as a solicitor at Lux Family Law following the completion of her training contract in January 2023. She advises and assists on cases dealing with a wide range of issues arising out of family or relationship breakdown. She is experienced in all aspects of divorce and dealing with high net worth and complex financial matters.
Emily joined the team as a paralegal in March 2019. Emily studied Law at the University of Warwick and graduated in 2018 with an upper second-class honour. Emily then went on to complete the part-time Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Bristol and achieved a High Distinction. She commenced her training contract with Lux Family Law in July 2021. Emily is an integral part of the Lux Family Law team assisting Charlotte Leyshon on complex matters as well as having her own caseload. Emily played an integral role in the Husband’s legal team on reported case Traharne v Limb [2022] EWFC27.
Emily strives to provide the best client care and support, whilst ensuring clients are happy and at ease with the legal process.
Emily runs the firm’s pro bono programme and regularly speaks at events for empowering under privileged children in to careers in law.

Emily is a member of Resolution and sits on the Young Resolution (South Wales) Committee.
Education
Emily studied Law at the University of Warwick and graduated in 2018 with an upper second-class honours. Emily was selected for the Sutton Trust US Programme in 2014 after achieving 10 A*s and 1 A at GCSE. Emily spent the summer in Yale University, Harvard University and other prestigious US colleges.
Leisure
During her undergraduate studies Emily held an elected committee position for the University of Warwick Dancesport Team.
