Sankalp holds a Bachelor of Laws (B.L.S. LL.B.) from Government Law College, Mumbai, and is admitted to the Maharashtra & Goa Bar Council. He is also a Solicitor Qualifying Examination (SQE) candidate and holds a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
His experience includes advising on cross-border financing transactions exceeding USD 50 million, preparing financial and corporate due diligence reports for M&A transactions valued up to USD 54 million, and assisting multinational entities with corporate restructuring and governance frameworks involving share capital structures exceeding QAR 66 billion, in compliance with Qatar laws and international standards.
Sankalp has extensive exposure to Islamic finance, having advised on Sukuk issuances, structured and project financing, and refinancing transactions across the oil & gas, IT, construction, and infrastructure sectors. He also regularly advises publicly listed entities on regulatory compliance under Qatar Financial Market Authority (QFMA) and Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rules.
In addition, Sankalp has been involved in ICC arbitration proceedings, particularly in construction-related disputes, handling matters with claims ranging from USD 15 million to USD 45 million, including disputes arising from non-payment and project delays.
