Dr Ghada M Darwish Karbon is the Founder and Managing partner of the firm. Dr Ghada, who is currently pursuing another Masters in Sports Law with Qatar Olympics Academy and University of Lleida, graduated from Qatar University with a Bachelor of Law degree and attained a Master of Law degree in public law from Cairo University. Recently, Ghada has achieved her executive masters in sports law from Qatar Olympics Academy.
Following graduation and having gained experience at Khalid Al Attiyah Law Firm, Dr Ghada worked with the National Human Rights Committee as Head of Investigations and Legal advice and Qatar Chemical Company as Legal Counsel.
In the meantime she worked with the legal department of Qatar University as a legal researcher and was also a member of the tenders and auctions committee and committee to develop and modify procedures and policies for the University of Qatar.

Law No. 15 of 2016 on Civil Human Resources was issued by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, recently.
The new law deals with more Qatarisation, leaves available and other working conditions of civilian employees working with Government and public sector entities. The Law will have impact on Qataris as well as non-Qatari employees working with the above institutions, who were earlier governed by the Law on Human Resources Management.

The present article deals with the violations by vendors of commercial products and services fined by the Qatar Ministry of Economy and Commerce during the preceding month.
It was revealed by the Ministry as a result of its inspection campaign conducted during the last month. The campaign was made according to the stipulations by the Consumer Protection Law of Qatar, with an aim to safeguard the rights of consumers.

As an integral part of the Qatari society women are bestowed great consideration in Qatar. According to the constitution all persons are equal regardless of their sex, religion, language, or race. The constitution also warranted the principle of equality between all citizens in public rights and duties. Therefore, no provision in law prohibits women from sitting as arbitrators.

In Qatar, a new law on Real Estate Property registration and ownership is underway to replace the existing old law.
In the past, the ownership of property in Qatar was restricted to Qatari nationals. However, this changed in 2006 and now an expatriate person is able to possess and pass on the rights to their heirs.
