Career

Laura Čereškaitė-Kinčiuvienė is a highly regarded expert in aviation, shipping, and transport law, with over two decades of experience advising major industry players across Lithuania and beyond. She has been consistently recognised by Legal500 as a leading individual in the transport sector, and AVERUS maintains Tier 1 ranking under her leadership in this field.

Laura advises airlines, leasing companies, and asset managers on complex matters such as aircraft acquisition and financing, leasing, repossession, and cross-border structuring. Her counsel often extends beyond Lithuanian law, coordinating international legal, tax, and regulatory advice with the help of a trusted global network of aviation professionals.

Laura also represents clients in high-stakes dispute resolution, including ship arrest, cross-border enforcement, and arbitration. She has appeared before Lithuanian courts and the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration in civil, administrative, and insurance-related cases.

Her recent mandates include coordinating legal actions across four jurisdictions and providing expert opinions on Lithuanian and international shipping law to foreign courts. She has also worked closely with Lithuanian airports on infrastructure development, route expansion, and state aid matters, and regularly advises car rental and leasing companies on transactional and regulatory issues.

A fluent German speaker and ICC-certified Incoterms expert, Laura has built strong ties with German-speaking clients through her academic and professional background in Germany. She studied European and German business law in Siegen University, trained with Clifford Chance in Munich, and later practiced at Rödl & Partner. She is an active member of the ICC Transport Committee and was awarded “Lecturer of the Year” by ICC Lithuania for her long-standing contribution to Incoterms seminars.

Laura is frequently invited to speak and publish on aviation, mobility, and international trade, and continues to be a thought leader in Lithuania’s transport and logistics legal sector.
