Sergiy Dusanovsky

Sergiy has over 15 years of experience in representing foreign and Ukrainian clients in national courts, corporate investigations, international and national arbitration, focusing on civil and commercial disputes, as well as enforcement proceedings. He has successfully represented foreign and Ukrainian companies in various disputes on corporate conflicts, contracts, debt recovery and in disputes with state authorities. Sergiy also participated in multinational corporate internal investigations touching sensitive compliance issues, involving data privacy, anti-bribery and anti-corruption.
Marta Halabala

Marta Halabala

Counsel. Marta focuses on energy law (oil & gas, electricity, and renewable energy), as well as environmental protection and sustainable development, leading this workstream at Asters. She has over a decade of experience in handling a wide range of energy projects in general and renewable energy, encompassing wind, solar, biogas, conventional generation etc. Marta has also been involved in numerous due diligence cases for various energy assets, M&A transactions, including "greenfield" and turnkey acquisitions.   Marta advises companies on matters related to the sustainable energy transition, the European Green Deal, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and projects in the field of hydrogen and other alternative fuels. She also provides guidance on environmental protection issues and ESG initiatives. Marta gained extensive international experience during her 14-month secondment at a leading Irish law firm. There, she advised numerous leading energy companies on the development of wind power plants, assisted state energy companies with service agreements and power purchase agreements, and addressed matters related to the applicability of EU laws.

Counsel. Yuri Neklyaev represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial law matters. He focuses on family law litigation, including complex divorce cases and the distribution of marital assets located both in Ukraine and worldwide. With over 15 years of legal practice, Yuri handles all stages of litigation and has considerable experience representing clients in the Supreme Court. In addition to his litigation expertise, Yuri is a certified family mediator, adept at resolving disputes through out-of-court settlements. Yuri also provides legal support with paternity issues, child custody, parenting time and child support arrangements. Partner. Andriy co-heads the dispute resolution and debt restructuring practice of the Firm. With more than 17 years of experience in the dispute resolution, he is specialised in banking, contractual, corporate, defamation, and labour disputes, as well as disputes involving the protection of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and restructuring. He has wealth of experience in running and participating in person in disputes brought before Ukrainian courts of all jurisdictions and levels, including the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, as part of a number of cases that have shaped court practice, bankruptcy proceedings involving large debtors, and the most complicated financial restructuring processes unique to Ukraine. Andriy represented clients and advised them on complicated litigation processes covering a number of foreign jurisdictions.
