Larysa Antoshchuk

Counsel. Larysa heads tax disputes group and focuses on assisting companies during the tax audit process, as well as in pre-trial appeals and court proceedings related to tax disputes. Since 2006, Larysa has been consulting both international and local companies, as well as individuals, on various tax-related issues from perspective of tax dispute resolution, including the specifics of applying Withholding Tax, Corporate Profit Tax, VAT, and employment taxes. Recently, Larysa has also successfully handled transfer pricing tax disputes, application of international double tax treaties in Ukraine and related tax incentives, conducted legal and tax due diligence, and defended companies' management in cases involving economic crimes.

Gleb Bialyi

Partner. Gleb focuses on domestic litigation specializing in commercial, civil and administrative proceedings, bankruptcy and debt collection, as well as on exports and imports of goods and services, including trade investigations.

Oleksiy Demyanenko

Mr. Demyanenko specialises in handling complex cases and transactions, which require strategic multidisciplinary coordination. Viktoriya Demydenko

Counsel. Ms. Demydenko focuses on advising Ukrainian and international clients on a wide range of construction-related matters and co-heads this workstream. Viktoriya has 16 years of professional experience, including as a part of Asters team and as an in-house lawyer. Before re-joining Asters, she was a senior legal counsel at major international industrial group where she was responsible for managing the land bank, consulting on real estate and construction, environmental and natural resources matters.

Yurii Dmytrenko

Senior Associate. Yurii delivers high-quality tax advice to multinational and local businesses and assists high net-worth individuals in their tax planning. He is focusing on tax and corporate restructuring, project financing, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions. Yurii’s expertise spans from designing efficient and compliant tax models for ambitious domestic start-ups to structuring the inbound and outbound investment to advising on the landmark M&A and capital markets deals. He is also experienced in helping clients in the agricultural, energy, finance, and IT sectors.

Sergiy Dusanovsky

Counsel. Sergiy has over 15 years of experience in representing foreign and Ukrainian clients in national courts, corporate investigations, international and national arbitration, focusing on civil and commercial disputes, as well as enforcement proceedings. He has successfully represented foreign and Ukrainian companies in various disputes on corporate conflicts, contracts, debt recovery and in disputes with state authorities. Sergiy also participated in multinational corporate internal investigations touching sensitive compliance issues, involving data privacy, anti-bribery and anti-corruption.

Sergiy Glushchenko

Counsel. Sergiy  counsels across various compliance matters, including antitrust, anti-corruption, fraud, and cybersecurity. He develops compliance programs and opines on a wide range of compliance aspects of clients' transactions, arrangements, and practices. Sergiy regularly represents clients in public procurement, antitrust, and state aid matters, as well as investigations and litigations.

Sergiy Grebenyuk

Partner. Sergiy focuses on representing clients facing criminal cases and court procedures. He has extensive experience in legal security for businesses, internal corporate investigations of possible violations, anti-corruption and compliance issues.

Marta Halabala

Counsel. Marta focuses on energy law (oil & gas, electricity, and renewable energy), as well as environmental protection and sustainable development, leading this workstream at Asters. She has over a decade of experience in handling a wide range of energy projects in general and renewable energy, encompassing wind, solar, biogas, conventional generation etc. Marta has also been involved in numerous due diligence cases for various energy assets, M&A transactions, including "greenfield" and turnkey acquisitions.   Marta advises companies on matters related to the sustainable energy transition, the European Green Deal, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and projects in the field of hydrogen and other alternative fuels. She also provides guidance on environmental protection issues and ESG initiatives. Marta gained extensive international experience during her 14-month secondment at a leading Irish law firm. There, she advised numerous leading energy companies on the development of wind power plants, assisted state energy companies with service agreements and power purchase agreements, and addressed matters related to the applicability of EU laws.

Armen Khachaturyan

Senior Partner, Member of the Management Committee. Armen has extensive banking, finance, and project finance experience. His practice areas also include M&A, general corporate advice, currency control, securities, energy, privatization, and employment law. Yuriy Kotliarov

Partner. Yuriy leads the firm's Tech & Comms practice, which encompasses information technology, cybersecurity, data protection, and electronic communications. Olena Kozhokar

Counsel. Olena's main areas of expertise include intellectual property rights enforcement, data protection and advertising matters. She also specializes in support to FCPA and internal compliance investigations. Since joining the firm in 2011, Ms Kozhokar has been advising both international and local clients on licensing and assignment matters, including transactions involving IP rights, representing clients before the Ukrainian IP Office and customs, as well as assisting in trademark and patent litigation. Olena has acted in a number of high-profile matters, involving domestic and foreign companies across a wide range of industries, with a specific focus on pharmaceuticals and healthcare, but also including agriculture, banking, communications and media, defence, IT etc.

Talina Kravtsova

Partner.  Head of Family Law and Co-head of Private Client Practice. Talina Kravtsova has over 20 years of experience working at leading Ukrainian law firms with the focus on family law litigation, including matters of divorce and property division, child visitation and residence, child benefits and child support payments, adoption and custody, status of paternity, and termination of paternal rights. Talina also advises on the legal issues of citizenship and inheritance (including coordination of multijurisdictional inheritance cases), enforcement of judgments of Ukrainian and foreign courts in Ukraine, and conclusion of marriage agreements. Oksana Legka

Partner. Oksana Legka focuses on dispute resolution issues, including multi-jurisdictional litigation, investor-state and international commercial arbitration. Oksana advises the State of Ukraine, governmental agencies, and major corporate clients in complex, multi-billion, transnational landmark disputes, as well as investor-state and commercial arbitrations that involves the strategic coordination of simultaneous litigations in various foreign jurisdictions and national courts.

Inesa Letych

Counsel. Inesa co-heads Asters Employment practice and focuses on labour and employment law matters, including employment planning, collective bargaining, employment of top-management, benefits and compensations, reorganizations and redundancies, employment aspects of domestic and international corporate transactions, immigration, employment policies, outsourcing and industrial safety. Her legal expertise covers resolution of labour disputes, as well as in dealing with any HR crisis or sensitive employment matters. Her additional areas of practice are in corporate, regulatory, compliance and data protection.

Andrew Mac

Partner, head of Washington D.C. office. Andrew specializes in cross-border transactions involving US, Ukraine, and CIS entities being an expert in M&A, corporate and competition law, corporate compliance, FCPA/Bribery Act, capital markets and state regulations. Andrew has deep hands-on experience in coordinating complex cross-border disputes, as well as in advising Ukrainian and CIS businesses in their US partner interactions.

Yuliia Matsiuk

Associate. Julia focuses on intellectual property issues, including copyright, trademarks, industrial property, inventions and utility models, media law, as well as on protection against unfair competition. She represented major foreign and Ukrainian companies in disputes on protection of copyright, trademarks and patent rights, anti-cybersquatting; advised on licensing and assignment of the intellectual property rights.

Yuri Neklyaev

Counsel. Yuri Neklyaev represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial law matters. He focuses on family law litigation, including complex divorce cases and the distribution of marital assets located both in Ukraine and worldwide. With over 15 years of legal practice, Yuri handles all stages of litigation and has considerable experience representing clients in the Supreme Court. In addition to his litigation expertise, Yuri is a certified family mediator, adept at resolving disputes through out-of-court settlements. Yuri also provides legal support with paternity issues, child custody, parenting time and child support arrangements. He represents clients in international procedures outlined by the Hague Conventions for the return of children abducted by one parent. Another area of Yuri's expertise is contractual work involving family-related matters, including preparation and execution of pre- and postnuptial agreements, any kind of spousal agreements, and contracts between civil partners. Kateryna Oliynyk

Counsel. Ms. Oliynyk has over 15 years of experience in banking and finance, capital markets and financial restructuring. Kateryna advises high-profile Ukrainian and international clients on various types of debt and capital markets transactions, including sovereign borrowing transactions and external borrowings involving Ukrainian state-owned companies. She focuses on debt deals, including secured and blank financings, loan portfolio acquisitions and restructurings, as well as on regulatory matters in such areas as currency control, banking activities, financial services market, etc. Kateryna's focus also covers project finance, structured products and PPP, as well as Greenfield and M&A in banking sector. Ms. Oliynyk has also participated in a series of projects aimed at developing Ukrainian legislations, including PPP regulations, FX derivatives regulations, banks’ recapitalization.

Anastasiia Panchak

Senior Associate. Anastasiia advises clients on a variety of antitrust and competition law matters, including anticompetitive concerted practices (cartels), abuse of dominance, vertical agreements, merger control and unfair competition. She represents clients before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) in investigations and sector inquiries, as well as in court proceedings challenging the AMC decisions.

Roman Podzizei

Senior Associate. Roman's areas of expertise include tax advisory, tax planning, transactional, and investment taxation. Partner. Iryna focuses on cross-border banking and finance transactions, project and trade finance, secured and syndicated lending, capital markets transactions, restructuring and M&A.

Andriy Pozhidayev

Partner. Andriy co-heads the dispute resolution and debt restructuring practice of the Firm. With more than 17 years of experience in the dispute resolution, he is specialised in banking, contractual, corporate, defamation, and labour disputes, as well as disputes involving the protection of creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and restructuring. He has wealth of experience in running and participating in person in disputes brought before Ukrainian courts of all jurisdictions and levels, including the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, as part of a number of cases that have shaped court practice, bankruptcy proceedings involving large debtors, and the most complicated financial restructuring processes unique to Ukraine. Andriy represented clients and advised them on complicated litigation processes covering a number of foreign jurisdictions. Julia Semeniy

Partner. Julia focuses on intellectual property, data protection, anti-corruption and other compliance matters. She advises clients on a variety of issues associated with the acquisition, licensing and assignment, as well as enforcement of IP rights including trademarks, copyright, patents etc. In the field of anti-corruption and compliance, Julia deals with policy evaluation and development, internal investigations, risk identification and assessment, representation and defense. Anton Sintsov

Counsel. Anton Sintsov has over 15 years of experience in representing clients before Ukrainian courts of all instances and in international trade investigations. He represents foreign and Ukrainian clients before civil, commercial and administrative courts of all instances, including the Supreme Court; before state enforcement services, as well as other competent authorities. Anton advises on commercial and civil law issues, bankruptcy and debt collection, as well as on exports and imports of goods and services. Partner. Constantin Solyar is a tax and private client partner. He chairs our Tax Practice. He also helps high-net-worth individuals with structuring of their inbound and outbound investments. When it comes to taxation, for more than his 20 years of practice Constantin has gained expertise that covers Ukrainian general and special tax regimes as well as both direct and indirect taxes. Igor Svechkar

Partner, Member of the Management Committee. Mr. Svechkar heads the firm's Competition & Antitrust practice. Igor advises clients on a wide variety of competition law issues, including merger control, cartels, dominance, and state aid. He represents clients before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and at courts, develops antitrust compliance programs and policies, opines on the competition compliance of clients' activities, transactions and arrangements. Maksym Tereshchuk

Counsel. Maksym Tereshchuk focuses on M&A and corporate restructuring, corporate and commercial law, and cross-border banking and finance. Pavlo Verbolyuk

Counsel. Pavlo focuses on competition and antitrust law. He provides legal advice to international and Ukrainian clients on wide variety of issues, including merger control clearance, concerted actions filings, competition compliance reviews, clearance of past competition violations, AMC investigations. Pavlo also actively participates in law making process through Competition Committee of the Ukrainian Bar Association. He is also an author of numerous Ukrainian and international publications on competition law and policy.

Oleksandr Volkov

Partner. Mr. Volkov has over 15 years of experience in international commercial, investment, and sports arbitration, as well as cross-border litigation. Oleksandr has been involved in numerous arbitration proceedings under ICSID, ICC, SCC, LCIA, JAMS, AAA, ICAC at CCI Arbitration Rules. Additionally, he has experience in the FIDIC-related disputes, as well as in advising clients in litigations in England, the USA, the EU, and other major jurisdictions. Oleksandr also frequently appears before the Ukrainian Supreme Court in arbitration-related cases. Mr. Volkov represents both state authorities and private companies. He frequently advises foreign investors engaged in pre-arbitration negotiations.
