Career
Giorgio joined the law firm Erede e Associati (now BonelliErede) in 1997, immediately after qualifying as a lawyer. He focused primarily on extraordinary finance transactions and corporate law, working closely with Avv. Erede.
In 1998/1999, he served as a Visiting Foreign Lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills in London, where he worked in both the Corporate and Banking Departments. During this time, he also qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England and Wales. He is currently a member of the Law Society.
In 2014, after 16 years at BonelliErede—10 of which as a partner—he joined Linklaters as an equity partner in the Corporate Department of the Milan office, where he led the Private Equity group. He was also a member of the Global Consumer Sector Committee and headed the Italian Business Development Committee.
During his time at Linklaters, he continued to advise on both domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, representing financial sponsors and corporates alike. He specialized in leveraged buy-outs, private equity, preferred capital, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions of companies and businesses. He also gained significant experience in public M&A and takeover regulations.
In 2025, after 11 years at Linklaters, he joined Fivers as a partner.
Over the years, Giorgio has advised on a substantial number of M&A transactions in Italy and abroad.
