Career
Ville has extensive experience in sports law and handling complex cross-border commercial and transactional matters, with a particular focus on the mining, real estate, and technology sectors, as well as ESG and sustainability and employment law matters.
In the area of sports law, Ville advises our clients such as sports federations and sports clubs in proceedings involving various organizations such as FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), Finnish Sports Arbitration Board and FINCIS (Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports). Typical legal matters include negotiations, contract law, various court activities in dispute management and international arbitration.
As companies increasingly comply with ESG regulations, the ESG legal matters led by Ville are expanding to cover a wide range of different business sectors, including sports, energy, real estate, construction, and technology. Together with his team, Ville provides legal and strategic ESG support to our clients, particularly in relation to regulatory and corporate sustainability issues, including employment law.
Over the years, Ville has held numerous board positions in various industries, from local to international companies and innovative start-ups. He is also recognized for his work on cross-border legal issues related to risk management and strategy work.
