Vasiliki is a tax lawyer and is a member of our private clients practice. Vasiliki works on income tax and real estate tax matters, as well as on the tax aspects of succession planning. She has a particular expertise on EU and international tax matters, having spent the past few years as an editor and tax researcher in IBFD and as a tax associate in an international professional tax and legal services company. Vasiliki is admitted before the Court of First Instance and was admitted to the Larissa Bar in 2020. She joined our firm in 2022.
Matina Andrikopoulou

Matina Andrikopoulou

Matina is a senior associate of our employment and labour practice. She advises the firm’s clients on day-to-day employment matters, including drafting of employment contracts, redundancies, working time, benefits in kind, assignment of personnel through temp-work agencies, health and safety requirements, and social security issues. She also advises on TUPE related issues, while she is often engaged in Legal Due Diligence projects. Before joining the firm, Matina was working as an associate in a Greek business law firm for six years. She focused on employment and labour issues from a consulting and litigation standpoint, having also handled various civil litigation cases for domestic and multinational clients. She was admitted to the Athens Bar Association in 2014 and she is qualified to practice before the Court of Appeals. Yolanda Antoniou-Rapti

Yolanda Antoniou-Rapti

Yolanda is a senior associate and focuses on Greek and EU data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, competition & antitrust, corporate and commercial law. She advises on all aspects of EU and Greek data protection compliance issues, including assisting clients in identifying compliance gaps, both in the context of GDPR compliance audits and M&A due diligence reviews, assessing and managing relevant risks, and in taking steps to ensure overall compliance, including conducting trainings and workshops. Yolanda’s practice also covers data protection litigation, as well as advisory and assistance tasks on day-to-day matters, including drafting and negotiating privacy terms in contracts, drafting privacy policies and notices, data processing agreements, consent forms, the use of new technologies, ePrivacy issues, data breach management and notification, international data transfers, and carrying out data protection impact assessments. She also has a broad experience and assists clients on Greek and EU competition law issues, including cartels, vertical agreements, abuse of dominance, merger control, dawn raids, mock exercises, compliance audits, as well as workshops and trainings to ensure overall compliance. Yolanda is admitted before the Court of First Instance. She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2012 and joined our firm in 2018.

Anastasia Aptalidi

Anastasia is a Senior Associate of our real estate group. She is involved in various real estate transactions, focusing on sales and acquisitions, the due diligence of real estate portfolios, establishment of in rem securities as well as commercial and residential lease agreements. Anastasia also guides foreign individuals through the process of obtaining the Golden Visa within the context of a property acquisition through asset or share deals. She was admitted to the Piraeus Bar Association in 2017 and joined our firm in 2021. Anastasia is admitted before the Court of First Instance.

Nadia Axioti

Nadia is a senior associate focusing on corporate, commercial, M&A and banking law. She is engaged in a broad range of multinational M&As and other corporate transactions, where she undertakes legal due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transactional documentation and handling of related Greek law formalities. Nadia also advises corporate clients and businesses on corporate and commercial matters with regards to their day-to-day operation and regulatory compliance. Nadia has experience in project finance transactional work. She has also acted for domestic and international private sector clients, credit institutions and credit servicing firms on banking and finance transactions.
Dimitris Babiniotis

Dimitris Babiniotis

Asc. Professor Dimitris Babiniotis serves as head of our Litigation & Arbitration practice. Dimitris' practice focuses on complex state court litigation and commercial arbitration, both domestic and international. Litigation: Dimitris is widely recognized as a leading authority in appellate and cassation litigation. Having written extensively in these areas, he is regularly instructed by clients from all sectors of the market, irrespective of the nature and subject matter of their disputes, to deal with the highly sophisticated procedural issues involved in proceedings before the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. In this context, Dimitris has acted as lead counsel representing corporate clients in a wide range of commercial and corporate disputes in both domestic and cross-border contexts. These include, but are not limited to, shareholder disputes, free and unfair competition disputes before state courts, consumer disputes including pharmaceutical disputes, disputes arising out of complex commercial transactions such as M&A transactions, financing transactions and distribution and agency agreements. He has also represented corporate clients in a wide variety of tort disputes, including business defamation, employment torts, and directors' and officers' liability claims. Arbitration: Dimitris has acted as lead counsel in a large number of complex international and domestic commercial arbitration proceedings. His practice encompasses disputes in all major industry sectors, namely construction and infrastructure, energy and financial services. Dimitris has also represented corporate clients in numerous arbitrations involving the Greek State or Greek state-owned entities in disputes arising out of public contracts. Arbitration-related litigation: Dimitris is widely regarded as an authority on arbitration-related litigation, having served as lead counsel in numerous proceedings for the annulment, recognition, and enforcement of arbitral awards before Greek state courts. He has also successfully represented international clients in compelling arbitration when litigation had been improperly initiated against them in Greek state courts. Dimitris is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court. Dimitris is an Associate Professor at the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he teaches civil procedure and arbitration at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His scholarly work encompasses arbitration, Supreme Court litigation (the law of cassation), appellate procedure, the binding effect of state court decisions and arbitral awards and the standards of judicial review of arbitral awards. He serves on the editorial boards of Greece's two most prestigious procedural law journals: the "Review of Procedural Law” and “Chronicles of Procedural Law”. Dimitris was appointed to serve as the official ambassador for the Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) in Greece.
Elina Belouli

Elina Belouli

Elina is a partner in our Private Clients practice.  leverages her international tax expertise to provide comprehensive advice and strategic guidance to high-net-worth individuals and family offices, on matters related to estate planning and wealth preservation. She focuses on tax planning for active business assets and investment activities, with a particular emphasis on tax structuring, and commonly advises on a wide range of Greek tax aspects of cross-border transactions and inbound investments, including on real estate, involving both private and corporate clients. Elina is also well versed in the elaboration and implementation of business restructurings, particularly in the context of succession planning. Her experience in corporate tax and transfer pricing enables her to provide insightful advice on tax implications of ventures with cross-border elements. Before joining the firm, Elina was employed in DG TAXUD of the European Commission, where she got engaged in infringement cases with regards to direct taxation in Greece, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Portugal and the UK. Maria Bozinaki

Maria is a senior associate of our M&A and Project Development practice. She has wide experience in assisting domestic and international clients from various industries on their day-to-day corporate and commercial practices and compliance, including contractual and business arrangements and ad-hoc legal advice in business affairs. She is engaged in business transformations and restructurings, including M&A transactions support for distressed and not distressed assets, as well as insolvency proceedings. Maria also undertakes legal due diligence, drafting of transactional documentation and implementation of the relevant Greek law formalities required. Stefanos Charaktiniotis

Stefanos heads our M&A and Project Development practice. He has extensive experience on M&A, cross border corporate transactional work, corporate restructuring, and financing projects. He is also engaged in carrying out legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating share purchase and ancillary agreements and undertakes all formalities required for the implementation of acquisitions. Stefanos also acts for technology companies, their investors and management on M&A, private equity and other corporate transactions. Stefanos has also experience in antitrust practice, advising businesses operating in Greece through local subsidiaries or distributors on their compliance with antitrust specifications of EU and Greek antitrust law. He is admitted before the Supreme Court. Stefanos is a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Nefelie Charalabopoulou is a Partner of our corporate commercial practice and Head of our healthcare, pharma & life sciences practice. Nefelie practices corporate, commercial and healthcare law. She focuses on advising clients in highly-regulated industries on all inherent legal and compliance issues, with an emphasis on pharmaceuticals, medtech products, biotech and cosmetics. She also advises them on their corporate law matters. Her extensive experience in the life sciences sector is particularly valuable; it allows her to thoroughly understand and analyse the complex environment in which her clients operate and helps them to achieve breakthrough results. Sofia Chatzigiannidou

Sofia Chatzigiannidou

Sofia heads our Public Procurement and Concessions practice advising on a wide array of regulatory and administrative law matters pertaining to the relevant procedures. She has a strong track record in representing clients in procurement and privatisation procedures in a wide array of industries including energy, defense and pharmaceuticals, her work includes all areas of tender related matters from responding to call for tenders to tender related dispute procedures in and out of court. She has acted in many large-scale procurement and privatisation projects including marinas, motorways, casino licenses and multimillion framework agreements tendered by the Health Procurement Committee. Sofia also advises on the full spectrum of energy related issues including compliance, electricity, natural gas and hydrocarbons’ regulation, financing and licensing requirements of Renewable Energy Projects and relevant transactional work. She has acted for leading energy companies in the renewables, oil and gas sectors and has been heavily involved in various energy and infrastructure projects presenting complex regulatory aspects. Stamatis Drakakakis

Stamatis Drakakakis is a partner and head of our Antitrust & Competition practice. He was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2002 and he joined our firm in the end of 2019.   Stamatis covers the full range of EU and Greek competition work, including cartel investigations, merger control, JVs, distribution agreements, unilateral conducts, state aid measures and state intervention. He has represented multinational and major Greek corporations at both EU (European Commission and EU Courts) and national level (Hellenic Competition Commission, Sector Regulators and Greek Administrative Courts). His experience spans a wide spectrum of industries including electronic communications, energy, financial sector, constructions, airlines, broadcasting, retail, pharmaceutical, chemicals, steel, and defence. He has also been involved in cases where competition law interfaces with public procurement rules. He has assisted the European Commission before the General Court of EU in numerous cases. He has also advised the Hellenic Republic with regard to privatisation projects and ad hoc state aid cases. He was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2002 and he joined our firm in the end of 2019. Elina Filippou

Elina heads the firm’s private client practice. She brings in years of experience in international tax matters and the way they impact the structuring of wealth and the performance of investment activity. She has been working with multijurisdictional family offices, asset managers and family-owned businesses on wealth structuring and estate planning, multi-generational governance and estate planning matters. She is active in the start-up ecosystem, working with start-ups and their investors, on tax aspects over the life of the activity from set up to exit, with a particular focus on compensation mechanisms for founders and executives. Elina is acknowledged as a highly regarded tax practitioner in Greece by a number of professional directories, such the International Tax Review (ITR), Legal 500, Who is Who Legal and Global Elite. She has been with Zepos & Yannopoulos since 2004 and is a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Mary Georgiou

Mary is a partner of our real estate practice.  She advises international and domestic clients on real estate matters such as the purchase and sale of properties, as well as commercial and residential lease agreements. She also has significant experience in due diligence of real estate portfolios and regularly advises clients on the lawful transfer of title. Mary represents clients on a regular basis before the First Instance Court with respect to the establishment of in rem securities, disputes arising from breach of contract, recovery of debts and claims and tort. Dimitris Gialouris

Dimitris Gialouris is a partner of our tax litigation practice and dispute resolution team. Dimitris’s expertise focuses on tax controversy involving both direct and indirect taxation, as well as domestic and international law interpretation issues. He has extensive experience in dispute resolution and has successfully pleaded on such matters before courts of all instances, including the Supreme Administrative Court. Dimitris has also advised domestic and multinational companies on direct and indirect tax matters, as well as on administrative and court procedures. He has extensive experience in all stages of tax controversy and has represented before tax authorities clients active in a variety of fields, including information technology, pharma, real estate, travel and retail. Antonis Giannakodimos is a partner of our corporate commercial practice. Natalia Kapsi

Natalia Kapsi

Natalia is a senior associate of our healthcare, pharma & life sciences practice. She focuses on corporate, commercial, pharmaceutical and intellectual property law. She has experience in advising multinational healthcare companies on regulatory, commercial and compliance issues, with an emphasis on regulations, standards and codes of practice related to the marketing and promotion of pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Natalia also provides advice to multinational tobacco companies on a wide variety of regulatory and commercial matters, particularly the marketing, promotion and advertising of Next Generation Products (NGPs). In addition, she focuses on all areas of IP—such as trademarks, copyrights and patents—advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious IP issues and representing them before the Administrative Committees, as well as Civil and Administrative Courts. Alex Karopoulos

Alex Karopoulos

Alex Karopoulos is a partner of our tax practice and heads our Tax Controversy group. As a leader of our tax controversy & litigation practice Alex has extensive experience in advising multinational companies on all stages of tax controversy. He represents clients before the tax authorities in the context of tax audits and all court instances, including the Supreme Administrative Court. He currently litigates some of the biggest tax assessments ever made in Greece and has won multi-million tax disputes concerning income tax and VAT. Alex has also successfully challenged before the courts the legality of taxes, leading to their abolishment. Alex also specialises in VAT and other indirect taxes (including stamp duty and insurance premium tax) and has extensive experience in advising on the indirect tax treatment of a broad range of cross-border and local transactions carried out by multinational companies. He regularly advises on the indirect tax aspects of corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions. Alex works with multinational clients across most industries, including financial and insurance services, real estate, public procurement, energy, IT, aviation, pharma, travel and retail. Alex teaches VAT in the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation courses, as well as shipping taxation in the Athens University of Economics and Business. Rania is a Senior Associate focusing on corporate, commercial and M&A law. Theodore Konstantakopoulos

Theodore Konstantakopoulos

Theodore is head of our TMT & Data practice. Theodore has extensive experience in advising technology multinationals, global telcos and social media companies on issues relating to new technologies and media, covering all aspects of electronic communications, data protection, cybersecurity, content regulation, intellectual property, telecommunications and e-commerce law. He also advises on consumer protection, marketing, product labelling and product liability matters. His advice pertains to novel and complex issues on cloud computing, connected devices and blockchain solutions, while he often interacts on issues of regulatory practice with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority and the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission. Theodore is included in the European Data Protection Board (EDPB)'s Support Pool of Experts for the fields of "Technical expertise in New Technologies and Information Security" and "Legal expertise in New Technologies”. Nikolaos Kostakopoulos

Nikolaos Kostakopoulos

Nikolaos is a Senior Associate in our Litigation & Arbitration practice, specialising in civil and commercial litigation and enforcement proceedings. His experience covers a wide range of disputes, including complex contract and shareholder conflicts, distribution, agency and franchise disputes, construction and real estate claims, banking and finance litigation, insolvency-related proceedings, and enforcement proceedings. Nikolaos also advises clients on various business transactions and commercial agreements. Nikolaos was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2017, ranking first in his class and joined our firm in 2026. He is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals.

Nikos is a senior associate and advises international and domestic corporate clients οn a wide array of issues with a primary focus on the areas of public procurement and energy law where he regularly advises on regulatory/compliance matters. Nikos also has significant experience in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and M&A transactional work. He has been involved in numerous financing, capital markets and corporate acquisition projects and has extensive experience in coordinating and conducting legal due diligence for such projects. His experience also covers public procurement law. Maria Lampadaki

Maria Lampadaki

Maria focuses on competition, anti-trust, M&A law, intellectual property, corporate and commercial law. Her practice covers a wide spectrum of matters pertaining to EU, French and Greek competition law, including cartels, abuse of dominance, merger control, state aid and related issues. Maria is also engaged in carrying out legal due diligences, advising clients on company establishment and structuring, ongoing corporate governance, their entry into commercial agreements and contracts, in drafting share purchase and ancillary agreements and in negotiating for related issues according to the Harvard Negotiation method (attended in Paris). Maria is a PhD candidate in competition law and an active member of two law research institutes in Paris; she was also a Teaching Fellow at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 2012, qualified as French lawyer in 2017 and joined our firm in 2020. Dimitris is a Senior Associate  of our Public Procurement & Concessions practice. He advises multinational companies on a regular basis in relation to their participation in public procurement procedures being responsible for the preparation of all the relevant documentation and formalities throughout the tender processes and advising the business teams on the interpretation of the RFP terms and conditions to ensure compliance with the RFP. He has also been involved in tender related litigation procedures both before the administrative authorities as well as before the administrative courts. Dimitris is also involved in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial contracts and conducting due diligence for energy projects. Anastasia Makri

Anastasia Makri is head of our Energy and Insurance practice groups. Her areas of practice are M&A and project development, with a focus on energy and infrastructure. She has worked on large-scale projects involving private entities and state agencies and has extensive experience in transactions involving complex commercial contracts and negotiations. From 2009 to 2017 she led the firm’s legal team that successfully supported the implementation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, one of the largest and most complex construction projects in Greece hosting the new venues of the Greek National Library and the Greek National Opera. She regularly advises clients on various energy, privatization and infrastructure projects. Anastasia’s expertise covers insurance and regularly advises international and local insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries on insurance transactions, insurance regulatory, and contractual matters. Prior to joining the firm she held in-house counsel position for a major credit insurance company. Anastasia was admitted to the Piraeus Bar in 2000 and joined our firm in 2007. George Martsekis

George Martsekis is a Senior Associate in our Litigation & Arbitration practice.  He has seven years’ experience across complex cross border disputes. His practice spans high value litigation and international commercial and investment arbitrations under leading rules (including ICC, LCIA and ICSID), with a sector focus on energy, construction, M&A, and financial services. His experience also includes drafting and negotiating cross-border distribution and franchise agreements, as well as conducting legal due diligence on significant M&A transactions, bringing commercially grounded insight to contentious mandates. Before joining Zepos & Yannopoulos, George trained and practiced with leading law firms in New York, Washington, D.C., London, Copenhagen, and Athens. He holds a PhD (summa cum laude) in International Arbitration and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School during his doctoral studies. George has published extensively on international arbitration, including the monograph Good Faith in International Commercial Arbitration (Routledge, 2025). He is admitted to the Athens Bar (Court of Appeals) since 2019 and joined the firm in January 2026.
Emmanouil Mavrantonakis

Emmanouil Mavrantonakis

Emmanouil is a Senior Associate of our firm’s Litigation & Arbitration department. He specialises in international commercial arbitration and litigation of civil and commercial disputes. Emmanouil has extensive experience representing clients before arbitral tribunals and state courts in complex cases involving contract law, corporate law, energy law, and tort. His practice also includes setting-aside proceedings against arbitral awards and proceedings for the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. His doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law of Ruprecht-Karl University of Heidelberg, titled The Prohibition of Revisiting the Merits in International Commercial Arbitration, was awarded in 2022 the German Arbitration Institute’s (DIS) award for outstanding dissertations in the field of arbitration law. He regularly publishes in leading Greek and international legal journals across the fields of arbitration and civil procedure. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Chronika Dikonomikou Dikaiou (Chronicles of Civil Procedure). Alongside his legal practice, since 2022 he has been repeatedly appointed to teach Civil Procedure and Arbitration Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate level at the Faculty of Law of the Democritus University of Thrace. He has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2017 and joined our firm in 2022. Emmanouil is admitted before the Supreme Court.

Sonia Melegou is the head of our real estate practice.. With over 15 years' experience in the real estate practice advising international and domestic clients she has a solid track record on property transactions, such as acquisitions and disposals, commercial and residential lease agreements, and sale and lease back arrangements. She has also significant experience in the creation of in rem securities and the restructuring of collaterals, as well as in the due diligence of real estate portfolios. She has also worked with multinational clients active in the luxury goods business regarding trademark infringement matters and anti-counterfeiting strategies. Sonia also represents clients before the First Instance Court and the Court of Appeals, on disputes arising from real estate, leases, trademark infringement, breach of contract, recovery of debts and claims and tort. Sonia is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator and one of the first 50 mediators accredited by the Greek Ministry of Justice. Violeta is a partner of our Antitrust & Competition team. She has vast experience in providing compliance advice on all aspects of competition law and most prominently regarding abuse of dominance, cartel investigations, distribution agreements, other vertical and horizontal agreements, and merger control. She advises diverse corporate clients successfully active in a variety of industries, including consumer goods, F&Bs, pharmaceutical, energy, digital platforms, financial sector, and construction. Violeta represents clients before the Hellenic Competition Commission, the Greek Appellate Court, and the Greek Civil Courts (damages claims). Over the past decade, she has been involved in numerous remarkable cases before the National Competition Authority, in merger control (including Phase II/ commitments), settlement, and adversary proceedings, concerning novel and intricate issues. When handling distribution law matters and digital platforms, her approach includes commercial law and regulatory compliance advice. Argyrios is a Senior Associate of our Antitrust & Competition practice. He advises corporates and private equity clients across diverse sectors, including aviation, digital markets, chemicals, construction, consumer goods, energy, finance, pharmaceuticals, sports, technology and telecommunications. Prior to joining Zepos & Yannopoulos, Argyrios worked for a number of years as a competition lawyer in international law firms in London and Brussels. Before that, he completed traineeships at the European Commission (DG COMP, State aid – financial institutions) and the World Trade Organization. Argyrios is formally trained as a lawyer and an economist. He is dually qualified in Greece (Court of Appeals) and England and Wales (Solicitor of the Senior Courts). He joined our firm in 2025.

Iraklis has extensive experience in both constitutional and administrative law, in a vast array of legal fields. These include tax law, tax and administrative procedures law, public procurement law, investment, business and professions licensing regulations, radio and television law, as well as interim remedies and precautionary measures issues. As a member of the Court he was part of numerous administrative, legislative and judicial committees and councils, such as the drafting committee for the Code of Administrative Procedures, the Miscarriages of Justice Court and the Disciplinary Council of the Council of State. He has also taught in various seminars organized by the Council of State, the National School of Judges and the Athens Bar Association. Iraklis Tsakopoulos joined our firm in 2018, after having served the Council of State (Supreme Administrative Court) for more than thirty years—the last nine as Councilor of State.

Yerassimos is the co-managing partner and head of our tax & accounting practice. For more than 25 years he is focusing on tax planning for multi-national personal, active business and investment activities, with a particular emphasis on tax structuring for Greek and non-Greek business owners and investors. An important part of Yerassimos’ work involves assisting families and their family offices on asset structuring with the formation, management and periodic evaluation of multinational and multi-generational centralized control and management structures. In addition to numerous speaking engagements, organisation memberships and publications, Yerassimos has lectured at the Athens School of Economics on International Tax Law (Post-Graduate programme on Taxation) from 2003 to 2012.

Previously, she gained experience in project finance transactions, particularly through participation in complex transactions related to energy and infrastructure projects by drafting and negotiating finance documents. Dimitris Zepos is the managing partner of our firm. As a member in our corporate commercial practice he has advised foreign legal entities operating in Greece on a wide array of issues related to their establishment and operation in the country. He has guided foreign clients, both corporate and high-net-worth individuals, through the intricacies of doing business in Greece. Dimitris also consults corporate clients, mostly from the US and western Europe on compliance and business crimes related matters. He was admitted to the Athens Bar in 1992 and joined our firm in the same year.
Maria Zoupa

Maria Zoupa

Maria leads our firm’s corporate tax advisory and compliance team. She advises multinationals on the full spectrum of corporate and international tax matters relevant to their Greek business, involving entry in the market/set up guidance, financing, operation, restructuring or exit of their Greek subsidiaries. Maria commonly advises clients on tax compliance aspects, assisting them determine tax risks and remediation measures and is handling corporate and international tax disputes. Maria is also active in M&As, assisting clients with tax due diligence, negotiations and structuring of transactions. She also specialises in energy taxation and has extensive experience in tax matters relevant to the acquisition, sales and generally restructurings of businesses active in the energy industry. She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 1999 and joined our firm in 1998. Maria is a member of the firm’s executive committee.
